London Maccabi Vale CC have started building work on new outdoor nets at Rowley Lane.

The nets, which will be officially opened on May 17, are the culmination of more than three years of planning.

They will provide cricketers with the opportunity to hone their skills and enhance the facilities on offer at London Maccabi in Rowley Lane in Barnet.

LMV chairman Terry Hyman said: "I am immensely proud that the persistence of some far-sighted club members is finally to bear fruit with the building of our new nets.

"They will enable our already thriving colts section to expand further and consolidate London Maccabi Vale's growing status in the wider cricketing community."
