MSFL season starts with a bang

The start of the JC MSFL season went off with a bang with 88 goals flying in across 20 matches.

A four-goal salvo from Daran Bern plus one from Brad Frankel earned Redbridge Jewish Care A result of the day as they thumped defending champions North West Neasden A 5-1.

A hat-trick from Daryl Phillips helped Faithfold A beat Hendon United Sports Club A 4-2. Dan Perkins added the other. Dovid Korman and Saul Conway replied.

Scott Levy and Jonathan Green earned Lions B a 2-0 victory over South Manx. Lions A were left frustrated in a goalless draw against Southgate Harmen A.

Jonny Breger, Adam Rones and player-manager Mitch Young helped FC Team A lay down their title credentials with a 3-0 win at Camden Park in Division One.

Nicky Woolf and supersub Rob Samuelson guided newly-promoted North London Raiders B to an impressive victory at Montana Boca United A. Montana's misery was compounded when Alex Haffner suffered a dislocated shoulder. Montana are on the look-out for a new manager after Marc Ziedman stepped down after the game.

Jason Sears and Josh Hershman set up Brady Maccabi's 2-1 victory over a Redbridge B team who finished with nine men after Simon Bagel and Kane Hopps were sent off. Dean Lewisman replied.

James Gold (2), Nick Astaire and Adam Kosky eased London Maccabi Lions C to a 4-1 win over Harmen B.

HUSC B thumped Brixton Old Boys 5-1 with goals from Chaim Gothold (2), Gav Noe, Raphael Noe and Alex Neiss in Division Two.

Dan Hildebrand (2), Adam Grossman and Nick Roman were on the mark as Faithfold B inflicted a 4-1 defeat over L'Equipe.

Debutant Adam Jason (3), Nick Hudson, Ben Menahem, Anthony Goodmaker and Jonathan Peters were the goal men as Norstar A hammered FC Marylebone 7-1. Stefan Simons (2) and Oli Joseph found the target as Heath Banta beat Catford & Bromley. Steve Moss (2), James Alexander and Ben Simons struck as Faithfold C overcame Zig Zag 4-2.

Glenthorne A breezed past HMZ 4-1 with goals from Jay Lawrence, Simon Bitton, Dan Lipman and Dan Shaffron. A hat-trick from debutant Daniel Gordon earned RJC C a point at Norstar B.

Richard Fogelman (3), Jeremy Kornhauser (2), Aron Taylor and James Moore eased title hopefuls Jewventus to a crushing 7-0 win over Pinner JFC in Division Five.

A last-minute own goal handed Blizzard Storm victory in a nine-goal thriller against Raiders C. Joel Kutner (2), Alex Rubin and Brett Freeman claimed the other for Blizzard. Saul Stetson (2), Ben Stetson and Graham replied. Danny Kon (2), Adam Hersh, Daniel Sher and Jonny Ison found the net as Los Blancos beat Temple Fortune B 5-0.
