Moor Allerton take the honours at Senior event

Moor Allerton held off the challenge of Abridge to win the Coombe Hill trophy at the Senior competition.

The Leeds club collected the main trophy for the best team gross score, with Abridge taking home the Potters Bar trophy.

Coombe Hill won the Potters Bar Trophy for the best net team score, an aggregate of the four best scores, finishing comfortably ahead of Moor Allerton who won the Abridge Trophy.

Howard Lockhart of Bonnyton lifted the Hartsbourne Trophy for the best individual gross score. Lockhart won on a card playoff after returning the same score as Coombe Hill’s Andrew Gordon and Paul Fullerton of Moor Allerton. Gordon was pipped by one shot by Fullerton for the best net title.

The Senior competition is open to all affiliated clubs and societies, entering teams of six with each player aged 55 and over.
