JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- DANIEL GARFINKLE (Redbridge JC A) - a driving inside run by Daniel Garfinkle saw three Hendon defenders trailing in his wake and he scored with a low driven shot into the corner

- TOM PREVEZER (Scrabble FC) - his looping corner was hit with power and direction and went straight into the net with Catford defence and goalkeeper stranded and set up a tense last few minutes

- ZACK NEIMAN (SPEC FC) - a lethal strike from a free-kick from 25 yards was not only a fantastic goal but important too to put us 3-2 up

- TOM ALEXANDER (Woodford Wanderers) - headed in an Aviram free-kick in style – Think Messi in the Champions League Final vs Man United

- SIMON BUCHLER (NL Raiders B) - a lovely long-range strike from the skipper to open the scoring midway through the first half

- JOSH GOLDSTEIN (NL Raiders B) - a peach of a team goal - quick one-touch pass and move between Scott Waissel, Buchler and Dan Lovatt - with Goldstein nipping in to flick a composed finish to Lovatt's delicious reverse pass

- BAR HARIELY (FC Team A) - the ball was laid off to Hariely on the corner of the box, and with his right-foot curled the ball into the top right hand corner of the goal. A Beautiful finish!

- JOSH PUGH (Athletic Bilbaum) - Bilbaum were awarded a free-kick about 25 yards from goal, on the angle to the right. Pugh claimed it instantly, eyeing the goal. He hit it perfectly with his left foot, bending it round the wall and just inside the far post, perfectly into the top corner

- BEN BELL (Athletic Bilbaum) - a defender cleared the ball to the left-hand edge of the box, where Bell brought it down with one touch on his right before sending an absolutely unstoppable belter into the far top corner of the net with his other foot. A true worldly

- JOHNNY FRANKS (Heaton Park Rovers) - a fantastic flick up, turn and volley from 25 yards

- MARK SMITH (L'Equipe) - a super volley from 20 yards

------------------------------
------------------------------

- RUSSELL CORIN (Hendon A) - his leap to keep out Adam Goldman’s goal-bound header was world-class. He somehow managed to fling himself full stretch to turn round the post – incredible reactions

- DAN COHEN (Oakwood A) - SAVE 1 - produced a stunning save to deny Josh Kennet

- DAN COHEN (Oakwood A) - SAVE 2 - smart bloch to deny Charlie Kasler

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS

- ROB RICHMAN (NL Raiders A) - "Looking at the bigger picture it was a really great day for the club with our ‘C’ team joining us in the semi finals, an outstanding achievement, and our B team winning an important league game"

- JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "David Moyes had his 63 seconds of joy in Munich and I had my 3 minutes of joy this morning when Jacob RK finished well to make it 1-1"

- RAY ABRAHAMS (Scrabble FC) - "Full credit to Jeff Gotch and the Catford boys who have now beaten us and Lions and drawn with Lions and I can't understand why they have struggled to make an impact on the League themselves this season"

- DARYL KAY (Woodford Wanderers) - QUOTE 1 - "I think we showed the league today that we are the team to beat, and if anyone else wants to win the league they’ll have to finish higher than us"

- DARYL KAY (Woodford Wanderers) - QUOTE 2 - "Jason Stein made a comment last week saying that Mitch Hahn only shows up for the big games, well this was a our biggest game of the season (No offence to Oakwood) and we hammered our title rivals again, without Mitch!"

- ANDY LANDESBERG (ML Lions A) - "Oakwood are a good, strong and very competitive team, and I was totally serious when I told the boys in the pre-match talk that I would love to see 2 or 3 of their players in our squad. Oakwood were obviously disappointed, but they should take credit for the fact that I knew I needed our best players to be able to beat them, that is how highly I rated them"

- DAN KRISTALL (Oakwood A) - QUOTE 1 - "We'll be seriously disappointed if Josh Kenent, Austin Lipman Charlie Kassler and Max Kyte aren't available for Raiders Redbridge or whoever"

- DAN KRISTALL (Oakwood A) - QUOTE 2 - "For me, it is a bit of a shame for that they don't show a little more faith in their regular Sunday players who as a result don’t get an opportunity to play in the Jewish FA cup"

- DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - QUOTE 1 - "I could not fault my players for effort or commitment – we really wanted to come out of this game with at least a point but perhaps their extra incentive in needing the points was psychologically a crucial factor"

- DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - QUOTE 2 - "Although we lost today and at times were under the cosh, we still go into next week’s final chapter of these thrillers against Redbridge confident that we can turn this result around and come out on top. Let me assure you – we will not go out wondering that’s for sure"

- ZACK GOTHELF (NL Raiders C) - QUOTE 1 - "Fair play to HPR - they only had 11 and could quite easily have stayed at home. That they came down and fought to the bitter end despite missing key players was a testament to the club and to the management team. Their appearance has kept the magic of the Morrison going strong"

- ZACK GOTHELF (NL Raiders C) - QUOTE 2 - "We're looking forward to the semi final - we know we not expected to do anything but why can't we get to the final? It's one of those seasons - look across the football world, the tides are playing up and here's to hoping for the only north London derby I care about this season"
