JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. LIRON MANNIE (NL Raiders A) - a very good short corner routine, which involved one touch combinations between Ben Joseph, Adam Joselyn and Mannie resulting in the latter drilling home into the far corner
2. DAVID WOOLMAN (Oakwood A) - a moment of absolute magic from Simon Davies sent Woolman away. His touch across the defender was brilliant and his left-foot finish was definitive. It was a really classy goal
3. CRAIG COHEN (SPEC FC) - a "special" strike against Brixton
4. DEAN NYMAN (Redbridge JC A) - one touch and volley from the halfway line, chipping the keeper - has to be goal of the season

---------------------------------
---------------------------------

DANNY CARO'S SAVE OF THE WEEK
OREN HURY (Oakwood A) - Take your pick from the penalty save or unbelievable reflex action from the downward header

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. DAN SHAFRON (Real Sosobad) - "We offered Adam Ellis a contract for next season with a tidy signing on bonus so let's hope he sees sense!"
2. JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "I'm certainly looking forward to traveling to Nyon for the quarter final draw"
3. DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - QUOTE 1 - "All credit to FC Team - they got their tactics spot on - defended well and put us under pressure with their big guys. We wish them well for the rest of the season - hopefully they will be as committed when they play Raiders"
4. DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - QUOTE 2 - "This result gives Raiders a huge advantage - we will fight to the end of course and never give up but it is now very much theirs to lose"
5. ROB RICHMAN (NL Raiders A) - "A week is a long time in football and after the disappointment of last weekend, we are much more content this Monday morning"
6. JONATHAN COHEN (Temple Fortune) - "The overall conditions were excellent but the very dry pitch made it a very difficult surface – bobbly and very fast. It certainly wasn’t the best performance of our season, but it was maybe or most committed"
7. RIC BLANK (Oakwood A) - QUOTE 1 - "There was a moment in yesterday's game when a Southgate player shouted that we were 'pony' and 'there for the taking'. It seemed a strange thing to say as we were the better side from start to finish"
8. RIC BLANK (Oakwood A) - QUOTE 2 - "Seeing David Garbacz comments about the referee shows that all managers feel the heat - even at an amateur level. I hope he doesn't get in too much trouble with the FA for those comments"
9. STIRLING KAY (Neasden) - "I would like to nominate the referee for ref of the week. He talked to both sets of players like men, never talked down to them and did not make the game about himself, unlike some refs. It was a very competitive game which he made look easy"
10. BEN GILBEY (FC Team A) - QUOTE 1 - "I do think Hendon are the best team in the league, which is why I personally was so happy with the result and if I had to put money on a team winning the league, I would probably still put it on Hendon"
11. BEN GILBEY (FC Team A) - QUOTE 2 - "We still have to play Norstar this season, so we may be Hendon's enemy this week, but we may be their best friends in weeks to come"

RAIDERS THREE AND EASY
NORSTAR LONDON RAIDERS C 3 L’EQUIPE 0
Strikes from Will Ufland, Adam Leveson and Nick Haringman helped Raiders C keep alive their qualification hopes after easing past Division Two rivals L'Equipe 3-0.

Ulfand opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 30 minutes, before star man Leveson bundled home the second and it was left to Haringman to seal the victory with the last kick of the game.

NLR boss Zack Gothelf told JC Sport: "It was a comfortable win on a terrible terrible pitch in Mill Hill Park. NLR C will feel they should have and perhaps could have scored more goals as they missed several chances. They defended solidly and restricted L'Equipe to barely any shots, certainly no more than 1 or 2 on target.

"It's a great result for the Oranges to bounce back after the defeat to Camden Park and it means that the game against London Rovers is a must-win and should be a really good game."

MACCABI LONDON LIONS GREEN 4 BOCA JEWNIORS 0
Lions Green are off the mark after destroying Division Three rivals Boca 4-0 in what was effectively a dead-rubber.

Boca's Anton Nyman told JC Sport: "It was a dead-rubber played at the slowest pace I think I've ever seen in the MSFL! It was a game of limited chances, the difference being we were sloppy in front of goal, and defensively - and they were clinical on both fronts.

"Now it's time to bounce back with our league campaign next week to finish the seaaon strongly."

Jubilant Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "We won it in a fantastic last 10 minutes, the boys dug deep to turn the game on its head.

"Mill Hill defended well to hold a 1-0 the lead but to be honest, the best team won on the day. We missed numerous amount of chances and in the last 20 minutes threw everything at them.

"Credit to my lads for a never-say-die attitude, this will put us in good spirits for our final group game against Los Blancos, win that and we are in the last eight."
