Garbacz told JC Sport: "We wanted to finish this amazing season off in style and we did. For 55 minutes Lions were well in this game despite us having numerous chances, but once the second goal went in the floodgates opened and we could give our loyal fans some great goals to cheer.

"It was a fitting end to an unbelievable year. We celebrated long and hard into the night last night and thank the Lord for Bank holiday Monday!"

TOP THREE FINISH FOR OAKS
LONDON MACCABI LIONS WHITE 2 OAKWOOD A 3
Oakwood finished an excellent season in third place following a hard-fought 3-2 win over relegated LML White at Rowley Lane.

A deadly double from Carl Peters plus one from Harvey Kaye clinched Oakwood's ninth win of the campaign.

LML's goals came through James Belchak and James Gershfield.

Oaks joint-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport; "I'm told by all who were there that all three long-range strikes were contenders for goal of the season. We were two up and cruising but had a mad five minutes when our keeper Oren Hury went off injured. It was 2-2 soon after but Carl's second world-class strike of the day was enough to secure three well deserved points.

"Our next challenge is to have a tilt at the title. I just want to place on record my gratitude to the boys for all their efforts in what has been the longest season in the history of mankind. I also want to thank the JC once again for their tremendous coverage - it makes the MSFL what it is. See you in September."
