HAMMERS CLOSE IN ON NLR
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 3 LONDON MACCABI LIONS BLUE 0
Cup kings Hendon moved to within three points of NLR with a comfortable 3-0 win over LML Blue.

Ben Kon, Avidan Last and Yoav Lebens eased Hendon towards the title.

Jubilant Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "We are counting no chickens yet - we expect a really tough match next week against a very dangerous Oakwood team who we know will be doing everything to beat us and Lions showed today that they can be dangerous."

LML boss Jamie Kyte told JC Sport: "It was a really well fought game, but we weren't good enough at the end of the day. Hendon are riding a wave at the moment and it seems that nothing can stop them. If they don't secure the treble I will be amazed."

MIGHTY OAKS LEAVE RJC DOUBLED-UP
OAKWOOD 5 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 1 (DOUBLE-HEADER)
REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 0 OAKWOOD A 4
Oakwood moved up the table after completing a double-header success against RJC at Rowley Lane.

DAVE WOOLMAN was the hat-trick hero in match one. Josh Rose and Alex Koslover put the icing on the cake.

Match two finished 4-0 in favour of the Oaks, with Guy Helman, Jonny Quinn, Ben Buck and Harvey Kaye doing the damage.

Oaks joint-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport: "Since losing the PM final on pens we have scored 17 goals in three games. Two of those games were as part of a double header so i'm really happy with how we've responded. If we can start next season as we've ended this one we'll be a real force to reckon with. Next Sunday we have Hendon at Rowley Lane. It looks like they'll win the league regardless of our result but i'm looking forward to the occasion immensely."
