HAMMERS SEE OFF 10-MAN FLIXTON
AFC FLIXTON 1 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 2
Strikes from Danny Kon and a penalty from Ari Last saw Hendon come from behind to keep alive their treble hopes with a hard-fought victory over 10-man Flixton in Manchester.

Flixton forged ahead via an own goal after 40 minutes, but Hendon responded immediately and a red card for Flixton had Alex Singer for handball on the goalline enabled the ice-cool Last to sent the visitors through from the spot.

Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "It was a great result and keeps up our unbeaten domestic run. Flixton were generous hosts and showed that the northern teams can easily compete, but overall I think we deserved the win."

BIG BEN STRIKES DOWN TEAM
FAITHFOLD A 4 FC TEAM A 2
BEN ELLIS guided Faithfold into the next round of the cup with a brilliant hat-trick shooting down Premier Division rivals FC Team at Old Camdenians.

And there was also a goal for evergreen striker Daryl Phillips as the Superhoops rediscovered their killer touch in front of goal after Mitch Young (2) had put Team in front.

Jubilant boss Zuriel Solomon told JC Sport; "We played well today and I thought we were very comfortable, and Team's few chances came through our errors.

"We have been struggling to score, but today once we got the first it allowed us to play with a little more composure."

FOUR-MIDABLE OAKS CRUSH CAMDEN
CAMDEN PARK 0 OAKWOOD A 4
Oakwood warmed-up for next weekend's Anekstein semi-final with an impressive 4-0 success over relegated Camden Park in White City.

A double from Bradley Wine plus one apiece from free-scoring centre-half Sam Jacobson and Harvey Kaye eased them home.

Oaks joint-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport: "It was a very comfortable win as the scoreline suggests. Camden are a good side and it's a shame they're relegated but I hope they stick together and come straight back up. It's good seeing a new team, with young lads giving it a go on a Sunday. Next up, part seven in our 54 meetings against Raiders this season."

BLANCOS MAINTAIN UNBEATEN RUN
LOS BLANCOS 2 WOODFORD WANDERERS 2
Jono Gaon was at the double as Blancos extended their unbeaten record and in doing so damaged Woodford's promotion hopes.

A wonder goal from Mitch Hahn plus a tremendous effort from Alex Aviram accounted for the Woodford goals.

Blancos boss Jonathan Ison told JC Sport: "Remaining unbeaten in 2014, we got a thoroughly deserved point against one of the teams contesting the title."

Woodford chief Tony Charles told JC Sport: "We weren't happy with some decisions and if the opposition 'nicked' a last minute goal as described, they would've been right - it would have been theft!

AWESOME ARNOLD MAKES FLYING START
SPEC FC 1 NORTH WEST NEASDEN 3
New signing Adam Arnold hit the ground running to boost NWN's promotion hopes in an important 3-1 win over SPEC FC.

Michael Field and Dan Orgel also found the net as Stirling Kay's men registered their seventh league win of the season.

NWN boss Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "Considering SPEC were under a lot of pressure for long periods, they did not give up which led to a very feisty last 15 minutes. Considering we had two players on debut - one playing his first game for three months - overall it was a good solid performance."

LEW LATE SHOW FRUSTRATES OAKS
OAKWOOD B 1 ATHLETIC BILBAUM 1
Eli Lew was the marksman as Bilbaum came away from Brunel with a battling point against Oakwood.

David Woolman converted for the Oaks.

Stand-in Oaks boss Ben Polak told JC Sport: A draw was a fair result on reflection, but I can't help feeling dissapointed that we didn't finish Bilbaum off earlier in the game - as you know 1-0 is the second most dangerous scoreline in football after 2-0."

Hendon boss Adam Glekin told JC Sport: "It wasn't vintage stuff, but I was pleased to get the win. We didn't start the game well, and we probably didn't deserve to go 2-0 up but once we did, we were very comfortable until they were gifted a penalty. L’EQUIPE 1 NORSTAR LONDON RAIDERS C 0
The race for the Division Three title took another twist as Richard Fogelman's 28th league goal of the season inspired L'Equipe to a memorable win over the leaders.

Matchwinner Fogelman told JC Sport: "After the managers' pre-match comments, it was like a red rag to a bull and after being told my best years were behind me from a Norstar spectator, I celebrated in Eto'o-esque fashion!"

L'Equipe joint-manager Dan Cordell told JC Sport: "Our next goal is to put Catford to the sword and then steal a match on top spot."

GOAL OF THE WEEK - RICHARD FOGELMAN

QUOTE OF THE WEEK - DAN CORDELL

Disappointed NLR boss Zack Gothelf told JC Sport: "If we had turned our utter dominance at the start of the second half into a goal then L'Equipe would never have come back. As it happened, we couldn't get the ball into the back of the net. We were disappointed with the result, but the league is still very much in our hands."
