Masters champions Glenthorne A fold

articlemain

Glenthorne United A have withdrawn from the Maccabi Masters League due to a shortage of players.

Joint-manager Adam Kaye confirmed this week that the east London team will not defend the title they won in May.

"We just don’t have enough players,” said Kaye, who helped Team GB Masters win bronze at the Maccabiah Games last month.

"Some players have left, some have retired and some will be watching their children play instead."

Glenthorne are expected to keep running two teams in Division Two of the Masters League for season 2013/14.
