A third consecutive hat-trick from Freddy Martin helped Brady U9 reds continued their good form with in another excellent team performance on their way to a 6-0 win at home to Borehamwood.

A solid first season together in the Maccabi Junior League - at under-eight level - last season had helped Brady prepare for the challenges ahead in the WFL this season.

Having faltered on their debut in the WFL with a disappointing home loss, Brady have responded ny winning their last three games scoring 18 goals and conceding none in the process.

Their defence is being superbly marshalled by Ben Tibber, who again was winning everything he was asked to, and up front in Freddy Martin, they have a boy who is scoring goals for fun at the moment.

In this game Brady started slowly but gradually created chances and had it not been for some great goalkeeping would have opened the scoring sooner.

They eventually took the lead when that man Martin stabbed in from close-range after some good build up play on the right-hand side.

Brady's second arrived just before half time - a penalty converted again by Martin after a handball in the Borehamwood box.

After half time it was just a question of how many and Martin completed his third hat-tick in as many games again from the penalty spot after a debatable refereeing decision.

Again the away goalkeeper was keeping the score down and when he was beaten by Sam Meisel twice, he had the posts to thank for keeping Meisel out.

Goals followed from Noah Kemsley, Jordan Smith and Benjy Randall that left joint-manager Wayne Meisel delighted. He commented: "The attitude and hunger of this group is evident for all to see and if we can keep this form going we will be right up there come the end of the season."
