A last-gasp strike from Darren Coonl helped South Mancunians move up to second in the Maccabi Masters League Division One after the slenderest of victories over EDRS.
In Division Two, Clayhall A missed out on the chance to go top as they were involved in an eight-goal thriller with previously pointless Ashlodge. Nothing could separate the two sides as they drew 4-4. It could have been worse for Clayhall, as they had to come back from 4-1 down after Steve Bogen, Jonny Lauffer, Geoff Green and David Seal had scored for ‘Lodge, but a brace apiece from Neil Sapler and Mark Goldman ensured that they earned a point.
Meanwhile, Lions B got back to winning ways and moved up into third place with a 3-1 win over Pel City, Arthur Duke (2) and Stuart Coutts doing the damage for the Lions, Mark Jeffrey netted Pel's consolation.
Brady B notched up their first points of the season as they edged out Clayhall B 2-1, Martin Schultz and David Taylor scoring for Brady.
