Manchester slump to defeat

articlemain

Manchester Cricket Club suffered their first defeat of the season after falling 38 runs short in their run chase against Offerton.

Having been set a target of 150 for victory, Manchester were bowled out for just 112 with only Shaya Rabinovitz offering any resistance.

Rabinovitz hit an impressive 52, but lacked support at the other end as Manchester’s innings tailed off in disappointing fashion.

Earlier, Dan Glicher had starred with the ball, taking 3-22 off his eight overs, while David Cohen claimed 2-29.

But the batsmen failed to build on the good work done by their bowlers as Offerton cruised home.
