Manchester pupil is swimming champ

articlemain

Sam Green - a year 5 pupil at King David Junior School - claimed two golds at the Manchester Primary Schools Swimming Finals at the Manchester Aquatics Centre.

Green came home first in the 25 metres breaststroke and freestyle. Both events were strongly contested with Green winning his heats and final in personal best times.

Despite the excitement of his medals Green was upset that he could not compete with his friend and fellow swimmer Daniel Moss who fractured his arm 48 hours before the event.

Year 6 pupil Alanna Edwards took silver in the backstroke.
