Manchester Maccabi slip to defeat

articlemain

Manchester Maccabi failed to halt a rampant Wilmslow as Ray Tammam’s men crashed to a disappointing defeat.

Wilmslow, who are unbeaten this season, were helped to victory by Toby Rowe’s stunning unbeaten effort of 106.

Rowe’s innings steered Wilmslow to 204-8 off their 40 overs, despite a fine effort from the Maccabi bowlers.

Skipper Tammam claimed figures of 3-48 as well as a sharp catch, while Adam Schogger (2-38) and Stuart Simpson (2-38) also impressed with the ball.

Maccabi made an encouraging start to their reply, with the father and son duo of Steven and Daniel Glicher taking the game to the Wilmslow bowlers.

Steven made 24 before losing his wicket, while only Natan Fagleman offered any real resistance with his 25 as Maccabi were skittled out for just 93.
