High-flying FC Team came from 3-1 down to win a seven-goal thriller against Greens United in the Middlesex County League Division One.

Playing their first match for six weeks, FC Team looked rusty early on and they found themselves with an uphill task after 45 minutes.

Mitch Young’s men showed great character with debutant James Brookner playing a key role.

Richard Salmon and Josh Morris among the scorers as they moved to within three points of top spot with three games in hand.

Young said: “We showed great spirit and belief to come back and win the game.

“Josh Morris was outstanding scored a great goal and set up 2 and deserves the plaudits.

“We have to learn from our mistakes and move on. We will get better as that is probably the worst we have played all season.

“Now we have a big cup game next weekend to look forward to."

FC Team: Paul Mendelsohn, Josh Morris, Paul Kent, Marc Hecht, Dan Silverman, James Brookner, Laurence Judah, Andy Croll, Neil Weyman (sub: Adam Rones), Richard Salmon, Irvine Howson
