articlemain

Maccabi Tel Aviv clinched the Ligat Ha'Al title in front of 33,000 fans in Ramat Gan with a 2-0 victory over Ironi Ramat Hasharon.

Goals from Dor Micha and Rade Prica left Maccabi 13 points clear of second placed Maccabi Haifa with four games to play.

This is Maccabi's 20th league title and their first title since 2002/03.

Maccabi will play in next season's Champions League qualifiers and will be hoping to repeat their feat from 2003 when they reached the Group Stage.

Speaking about the Champions League campaign, Maccabi's Spanish manager Oscar Garcia said: "I'm staying another season and with this team everything is possible."
