EDRS Stonegrove set up a semi-final clash against Temple Fortune after hitting Hendon Harriers for six in the Nathan Horwitz MMFL Division 2 Cup, sponsored by Atlantis Travel.

Goals from Tony Platman, Phil Silver, Ian Leader, Martin Seifert (2) and an own goal eased them through. Ilan Cohen grabbed Hendon’s consolation.

Glenthorne United A thumped South Mancs 5-2 in Division, courtesy of strikes from Paul Allen (3), Greg Morris and Nick Belkin. Mancs’ goals came through Joel Nathan and Braham Hochenberg.

North London Raiders notched up an 8-2 win over Faithfold, with Lloyd Becker (3), Andy Bloom (2), Wayne Davidson (2) and Dean Schulberg all netting for Raiders, and Jonny Summerfield and Jonny Mack scoring for Faithfold.

In Division Two, Clayhall Park Casuals enjoyed a rare win, as they beatAshlodge 3-1 with goals from Leon Pernikis, guest Danny Fenton and Gary Rowland.

Meanwhile, the top two both won to keep the title race running, with London Maccabi Lions retaining top spot after their 4-2 win over Temple Fortune, inspired by goals from David Kyte (2), Marc Morris and Simon Barr. James Ryan claimed both goals for Fortune.

Fortune midfielder Peter Kyte said: "We had a weakened defence and at least five one-on-ones, and our guest Ed missed a sitter.

“They scored two set-pieces which we handled badly so it was a pity. But we continue to prove ourselves and play well."

Glenthorne United B kept up their challenge with a 6-1 victory over stablemates Glenthorne C.

Gary Adams (2), Adam Lennard (2), Gary Swerner and Sid Shaw were the goal men.
