Maccabi Masters review: November 27

articlemain

Glenthorne United A leapfrogged North London Raiders into second place after Adam Kaye, Richard Goldstein and David Michaels gave them a 3-0 win over injury-hit Raiders in Division One of the Maccabi Masters Football League.

Scrabble moved into third place with a 5-2 win over South Mancs. They came from behind in a performance inspired by two goals from Charlie Bernstein, along with strikes from Steven Moss, Stacey Eden and Jonny Summerfield.

Richard Reggel scored both Mancs goals, either side of the break.

Previously unbeaten Glenthorne B went ahead against Marshside thanks to Gary Swerner's goal, but Glenthorne old boy Fara Moghim inspired his new team to a 3-1 win thanks to Oren Wolff's double and guest Yali Mamouri's strike.

London Maccabi Lions took advantage of Glenthorne's defeat to go top, but only by the narrowest of margins, as they scraped home 1-0 against bottom place Glenthorne C. Mark Rose fired the winner.

David Jacobs was the match-winner as Hendon edged past Clayhall Park Casuals.

EDRS Stonegrove kept their title hopes alive with a 4-0 win over Ashlodge, with Martin Seifert scoring twice, plus Ian Leader and Mark Kingston also finding the back of the net.
