Maccabi Masters review: March 31

articlemain

A hat‐trick from Marc Morris inspired London Maccabi Lions to a 5-3 win over EDRS Stonegrove in the Henry Swerner MMFL Cup.

David Hyman and Laurence Leigh sealed the win after EDRS had battled back from 3‐1 down at the interval to level the tie at 3-3 with just five minutes to go. But goals from Russell Rich, Mark
Kingston and Marc Schneiderman were not quite enough to prevent Lions progressing to the
semi‐finals, where they will meet Cup holders Brady A.

In Division One, North London Raiders missed out on the chance to go top of the table as they suffered a 2‐1 defeat at the hands of South Mancs, with Scott Ansher and Simon Davidson scored for Mancs, while Ashley Davidson netted for Raiders.

Glenthorne B resumed their position at the top of the Division Two table after a 9‐1 win over Ashlodge CPC, who had Martin Schultz to thank for their consolation.
