articlemain

League champions Brady Maccabi A reached the semi-finals of the Henry Swerner Cup after a nail-biting penalty shoot-out win over North London Raiders.

The teams finished 2-2 after normal time. Gideon Barnett bagged a brace for Brady. Raiders' goals came through Lloyd Becker and Ashley Davidson.

Brady triumphed 4-3 in the subsequent penalty shoot-out and will play London Maccabi Lions in the semi-final.

The other semi-final will pit Glenthorne United A against South Mancunians who won their last-eight tie against EDRS Stonegrove 6-2, courtesy of a hat-trick from Mark Powell, plus goals from Jonny Feinmesser, Ben Kent and Joel Nathan. Malcolm Joseph and Martin Seifert scored for EDRS.

Hendon Harriers beat Clayhall 8-1 in MMFL Division Two, thanks to doubles from Paul Herszaft and Richard Smith. Ilan Cohen, Perry Somers, Andrew Diamond and Adam Greenblatt completed the scoring.

Danny Sofizade's long-range strike was enough to help Marshside overcome Glenthorne C.

David Price, David Pollock, Darren Coon and Marc Morris were the goal men as London Maccabi Lions beat Brady B 4-0 to go to the top of the table.
