In this week’s only Masters League match, Division Two title contenders Glenthorne United A made up some ground on leaders London Maccabi Lions with a 4-2 win over St John’s Wood Tigers.
David Simmons, David Michaels, Greg Morris and Gary Adams all netted for Glenthorne, with Paul Herszaft and Grant Morgan replying for Tigers.
Glenthorne A, who had only conceded one goal in their previously ten league games, are now five points behind Lions, but still have four games in hand.
