Maccabi Masters review: January 8

Defending champions Brady Maccabi A continued their seemingly unstoppable march towards another title with a narrow win over South Mancs.

Laurence Myers and David Rose earned them a 2-1 victory, with Simon Davidson replying for Mancs.

Their cause was further helped by Faithfold beating second-placed Glenthorne United A 3-1 thanks to goals from Andy Hearn and a pair from Russell Rich, including a 30-yard lob. Richard Goldstein replied for Glenthorne.

A hat-trick from Paul Van Gelder helped Glenthorne B crush Ashlodge 4-0. Gary Adams completed the scoring.

EDRS Stonegrove overcame Clayhall, with second half goals from Ian Leader - bagging a double - and Tony Platman giving them a 3-0 win.

Hendon recorded a 7-0 win over Glenthorne C thanks to doubles from Adam Keisner, Paul Herszaft and David Jacobs, plus Richard Smith's strike.

London Maccabi Lions remain top after their victory over Marshside, which came thanks to a hat-trick from Barry Silkman, along with David Pollock's strike, which saw them to a 4-1 win. Fara Morghim replied for Marshside.
