Maccabi Masters review: January 19

Strikes from Tony Plaskow, Wayne Davidson and an own goal edged North London Raiders to a first Masters League title following a 3-3 draw against second-place Southgate Harmen.

The point keeps NLR three points ahead of Harmen, with a game in hand. Harmen's goals came through Paul Stein, Lloyd Becker (pen) and an own goal following a long-throw from Andy Hearn.

Former champions Brady Maccabi A won a seven-goal thriller against Scrabble. Danny Sugarman (2), Paul Allen and Jonny Cohen saw them home. Scrabble's goals came through Jeremy King, Jeremy Kornhauser and Charlie Bernstein.

London Maccabi Lions climbed to the top of Division Two following a 3-0 win over EDRS Stonegrove. Lions, who have played two more games than former leaders Glenthorne A, took the points thanks to strikes from Marc Morris, Mark Jacob and Darren Young.

Elsewhere in the division, a strike goal from Vince Goodman was enough to give Hendon Harriers maximum points against Temple Fortune.

Ashley Davidson, Paul Shamplina and Perry Somers struck as St John's Wood Tigers beat Marshside 3-1. Fara Moghim grabbed a consolation for Marshside.
