Maccabi Masters review: April 20

articlemain

Glenthorne A clinched the MMFL Division 2 title with a 3‐0 win over Hendon Harriers.

Strikes from Adam Lennard, Jason Levy and Paul van Gelder secured the championship, pipping London Maccabi Lions to the post.

Meanwhile, in the MMFL‐MGBSFL Invitation Trophy, Group A, Faithfold B restored some pride, with an 8‐2 victory over group winners, Hendon B.

The match didn’t affect the final standings, however, with Hendon confirmed in top spot.

Norstar London Raiders maintained their 100 per cent record in Group B, with top-scorer Nicky Woolf (2) and Will Ufland steering them past Jewdinese 3-2.

Both Jewdinese goals came from the penalty spot, but  Norstar held on to guarantee their position in the final stages.

The other match in the same group ended in a 4‐4 between North London Raiders and their Masters' counterparts Waldaf Town.

Ami Wybourne (2), Jon Isaacs and Kevin Lotzof netted for Raiders, leaving them having to win their final game to secure second place in the table.
