articlemain

Brady A have already been installed as odds-on favourites for yet another title after beating second-place North London Raiders 2-0 to open a four-point gap at the top of Division One. Nick Collins and Jason Sears were the scorers.

Glenthorne A secured their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw against South Mancs. Mark Powell put South Mancs ahead but despite David Michaels rescuing a point for Glenthorne with a last-gasp penalty, they remain rooted to the bottom of the table.

Glenthorne B triumphed in the battle at the top, winning 5-2 over EDRS. Gary Swerner, Adam Lennard, Jon Bolle, Sid Shaw and Adam Hart were the scorers. EDRS replied with a free-kick from Gary Shaw and a goal from Phil Silver.

Brady B moved into second place with a 2-0 win over Temple Fortune. Roger Kay putting Brady ahead and new signing Danny Fenton wrapped things up with a thunderous free-kick on his debut.

Glenthorne C came from behind to beat Clayhall 3-1 to maintain their challenge. Nick Pitch put Clayhall ahead only for Barry Barnett to equalise with a penalty. Barnett grabbed a second with a powerful shot before Gary Rowland made the points safe with a scorching drive.
