OPEN FOOTBALL (RESULT: GB 9 SPAIN 0)

(GB scorers: Mattey, Hahn, Kyte 2, Creese, Mooney, Bolle 2, Burchell)

GB produced another ruthless performance to earn a crushing 9-0 victory over Spain and secure their place in the semi-finals.

Jack Mattey opened the scoring, making it two goals in two games, before captain Mitch Hahn doubled the lead with his first of the competition. And two more from Max Kyte, including a penalty, put Andy Landesberg's men in charge.

Dan Creese and Ethan Mooney then scored in quick succession, their first goals on the international stage, to make it 6-0. Further strikes from Adam Bolle (2) and Adam Burchell added the gloss for a GB who beat Sweden 4-0 in their first game.

RESULT: U18 JUNIOR FUTSAL - GB 2 SPAIN 2

(GB scorers: Harry Caplin, Brandon Myers)

GB joint-manager Adam Lustigman expressed "disappointment" after GB were held to a 2-2 draw by Spain.

GB bossed the first half, but found themselves trailing at half-time. But quickfire goals from Harry Caplin and Brandon Myers put them back on track, only for Spain to score again.

Lustigman told JC Sport: "We were disappointed to draw but a point puts us in a good position to qualify for the final. We were in control but found it tough to break down a tight Spanish defence. This was another decent performance and we go again against South Africa on Sunday."

U16 FOOTBALL - GB 13 SPAIN 1

Jasper van Veen (4) and Solly Bradley (4) inspired GB to a high-scoring win over Spain. Further strikes from Joe Bregman (2), Zack Cohen, Ben Barnett and Josh Ruff completed the rout.

GB assistant-manager Sammy Kingston told JC Sport: "What a fantastic game today. We weren't too sure what to expect from Spain. They lost narrowly to Italy and also 4-0 against Argentina, so we went into the game positively and wow, what a performance it was!

"We were on top from minute one to 70, and never stopped. The whole team were outstanding and if people find the Youtube link, it's worth sitting down and watching because we scored some unbelievably good goals.

"Our format, because it's a league table, is tough, but it means goal difference could play a part in getting a medal, so we've really done ourselves a huge favour there.

"We've have a tough game against Argentina tomorrow, which could really put us in a great position should we win that game."
