Maccabi champions MAL join Middlesex League

articlemain

Maccabi champions MAL have pulled out of the Sunday League to join the Middlesex Sunday League.

They join London Maccabi Vale and Belmont & Edgware in the non-Jewish competition.

MAL's Mark Landau said: "The decision to leave the Maccabi League was not taken lightly, but was done with the intention of providing our members with the most competitive cricket that we can in order to continue our development.

Like LMV and BECC, they have agreed to keep supporting the Jewish game and will enter teams in the Maccabi T20, revamped Stuart Neils Cup and Indoor six-a-side tournament.

"Hopefully 2010 will see some exciting cup competition in Jewish cricket which MAL will be fully supporting."
