Los Blancos blown away by Blizzard

Simon Linden, player-manager of Blizzard Storm, hailed the character shown by his team after they won the top of the table clash against Los Blancos in Division Four.

Both sides went into the game boasting 100 per cent records but a goal in each half from Alex Rubin moved Blizzard to within three points of leaders Glenthorne B with a game in hand.

Linden said: "It was always going to be tough but we stepped up to show what we can do on the big occasion."

A last-minute winner from Jewventus old boy Louis Taylor got North West Neasden C off the mark. They beat promotion rivals 4-3 with Adam Levene, Richard Braham and Jon Benjamin also scoring. Jewventus' goals came from Richard Fogelman (2) and Gab Stone.

Jason Lindsay (4) and Gideon Gold (3) ran riot as Shirley Park came from behind to thump Temple Fortune B 7-1. A late strike from Craig Sandford steered Redbridge Jewish Care A past Oakwood in the JC Cyril Anekstein Cup.

A goal in each half from Paul Lenchner and Glenn Michaels helped Chigwell Athletic progress at the expense of Norstar B.

North London Raiders A moved to within three points of top spot in the Premier Division after winning 6-1 at London Maccabi Lions B. Jacob Gold became the division's top-scorer with eight goals after bagging a brace. Daniel Sanford, Adam Joselyn, Jamie Wolfson and David Rhodes completed the rout.

Ben Kon and Avidan Last earned Hendon United Sports Club A maximum points against Neasden B. David Garbacz, the Hendon manager, said: "We're starting to give ourselves a nice launchpad for a strong title push."

An Alex Hershman double helped Southgate Harmen A claim their second major scalp of the season as they accounted for Faithfold A. Manager Dan Uzan said: "What I'm most pleased about is putting on that sort of performance without Ben Graham, Ben Murrell, Ben Forman, Lee Hyams, Craig Phillips and others. We have a squad full of quality players who can compete in this league."

FC Team A's 5-1 victory over London Maccabi Lions C was marred by a suspected broken ankle to Gideon Moss. Richard Salmon (2), Matt Drage, Danny Moss and Adam Rones were their marksmen in the Division One tussle as Team opened a six-point lead.

Lloyd Becker, Daniel Henig and Daniel Amram (2) were the marksmen as Harmen B beat Camden Park 4-2.

Darren Brown and David Castle found the net as Redbridge B claimed their first win, edging past Montana A 2-1.

A sensational five-goal blast from Jamie Kent helped Brixton Old Boys beat Faithfold B in an 11-goal thriller in Division Two. Gavin Rhodes and Dan Warwick finished the job. Brixton boss John Nitka called it "the Jamie Kent show". Dave Silver (2), Lee Goldsmith, Freddie Marks, James Saady and Eddie Sternberg were the marksmen as FC Team B thumped FC Marylebone 6-1.

Woodford remain fourth after seeing off Hendon B with goals from Jamie Golding, Dave Green and Andy Levy.

Player-manager Nick Goodmaker claimed his first goal in three years as Montana B took the scalp of L'Equipe. Matt Elash grabbed another. Temple Fortune A saw their 100 per cent record ended by Norstar A for whom Jonny Pressman (2) and Jonathan Peters found the net. Scott Shindler pulled one back from the penalty spot late on.

A hat-trick from David Blackman saw Glenthorne United A end Faithfold's Cs five match unbeaten league run with a crushing 7-2 victory in Division Three. Ashley Stanton, Dan Lipman, Lloyd Schaverien and Callum Stein joined the party as the Thornes moved to within a point of top spot.

It has been 580 minutes since Glenthorne B last conceded a goal after they cruised past Athletic Bilbaum 7-0. Fabio Revieccio (4), James Law (2) and Richard Rosenthal helped them make it five out of five in Division Four.
