Team captain Allweis took 26 wickets at an average of 13.42 in a season where LMV finished fourth in Division One of the Chess Valley League.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Parker capped a fine first season at the club by winning the Most Improved Player accolade.
The champagne moment of the season went to the LMV team for beating CVL champions Brondesbury in the first over – their only defeat of the season.

Russell Corin won the Alan Shapiro Clubman of the Year.

At the LMVCC last week, members past and present remembered club founder and president Cyril Hooker who recently passed away. Terry Hyman was elected president.

Reflecting on the campaign, LMV chairman Alex Haffner said: “The club is going from strength too strength. We will have two teams in the Chess Valley League for the first time, alongside our under-11, under-13 and under-15 teams in the Middx Colts League.”

Winter nets for colts begin on January 13. For more details, contact Alex Haffner on 07779 663731.
