articlemain

Kate Moss has chosen to wear a dress by disgraced designer John London Maccabi Vale Under 15s cruised to an emphatic victory over Totteridge Millhillians.

Skipper Simeon Cohen lost the toss but LMV were surprised to find themselves invited to bat first on a glorious evening at a sunlit Rowley Lane.

The little and large opeing partnership of Akiva Fink and Noah Aziz, made a cautious start but a flurry of boundaries followed as Aziz opened his shoulders and Fink launched anything short to the boundary..

The pair put on 46 for the first wicket before Aziz went back to a ball he should have come forward to and was bowled by leg-spinner Tom Rose in the ninth over.

Cohen joined Fink and they a combination of clean hitting and good running took the score on. They added 110 runs with Cohen dismissed in the final over. LMV closed on 162-2 from their 20 overs.

Eight bowlers featured in the Totteridge innings with David Shogger the pick of the bunch. He returned outstanding figures of 4-0-4-1, bowling beautifully, with swing and accuracy.

Shogger was well-supported by Josh Frey and Joe Nyman who kept the visiting batsmen guessing with a series of clever slower balls.

Totteridge were restricted to 29-1 after 11 overs. The scoring rate only increased when Shoreman came in at 4 and scored 30 of the 36 runs.

But LMV were always in the ascendency and they went on to record a 75-run victory.
