Sam Little will return to the European Tour next year after regaining his card following back-to-back victories on the Challenger circuit, writes Danny Caro.

Little, who is 36 and from Kings Langley, turned professional aged 22. He lost his card for the first time last year but a series of impressive performances will see him compete against the world's top golfers again in 2012.

Little, a father of three, recently won the M2M Russian Challenge Cup and Allianz Grand Toulouse Open. He has also finished in the top 20 at his last six tournaments.

"Losing my card was pretty stressful with three children to support, so I'm thoroughly delighted and hope to play well next season."

He had previously competed on the main tour for six consecutive years, finishing second at the Majorca Classic in 2007 and the Czech Open in 2009.

He said: "The Challenger circuit is completely different to the main tour. There are no caddies, no crowds and you are fending for yourself. Everything is done for you on the main tour." Little combined a busy schedule with coaching the Team GB squad that brought home several medals from the European Maccabi Games in Vienna.
