London Maccabi Lions 1-3 Harvesters North

LML Under 18s missed out on a place in the final of the Watford Friendly League Challenge Cup after going down 3-1 against Harvesters North.

The Lions went into the semi-final on the back of a dreadful run which has resulted in just one win in the past five matches in all competitions.

Harvesters, who have just retained the league title, broke the deadlock five minutes before half time with a penalty following an infringement from Richard Kanolik.

Lions claimed a deserved equaliser when top-scorer Jason Goldstein latched on to a marvellous through ball from Joel Ross before expertly heading over the onrushing keeper.

The hosts were unable to hold out for extra time as Harvesters clinched a place in the final on May 11.

The introduction of David Dobrin provided some much-needed impetus into the Lions side but they finished second best. Lions will now look to clinch second place in the league from their two remaining games.

Lions: Scott-Libby, Cohen, Newman, Kanolik, Cohen (sub: Green), Weinberg (sub: Julius), Goldstein, Kay (capt), Elf (sub: Dobrin 70), Orgel, Ross
