Levine out of Wimbledon

articlemain

Jesse Levine was unable to repeat his heroics of last year although he took 22nd seed Feliciano Lopez to four sets on Court 14.
Having qualified for the main draw as one of seven lucky losers, Levine, 22, said: "I played well but at the crucial moments, he came up with some big shots. It was a tough match but I felt like a did a good job."

Levine admitted that a lack of experience proved decisive as he came up short but said that he could take some positives away from his experience. "I got matches under my belt in qualifying but the last one went to five sets which was tough on my body. I was a little upset to only make it in as a lucky loser but having a second chance at Wimbledon isn't too shabby." Having recently returned from injury, he said: "I'm happy to be playing high level tennis again."
