Jewish businessmen on board for Olympic Park

Three Jewish businessman have been appointed on to the Olympic Park Legacy Company’s new board responsible for the management, business planning and marketing of the Olympic Park leading up to the 2012 London Games and beyond.

Philip Lewis is a former chairman of Sport England. He was also part of the Great Britain Maccabiah Over 45 team who won gold in Israel in July. A trustee at London Maccabi, he is also Deputy Chairman of Lambert Smith Hampton.

Lewis said: “I’m delighted to join the board for the Olympic Park Legacy Company which is one of the largest and most exciting regeneration projects in Europe.”

Nick Bitel, the London Marathon’s Chief Executive, is a partner for sports law firm Max Bitel Greene. He is a member of the London Community Sports Board and former vice-chairman of Wigan Athletic.

Keith Edelman is the former Managing Director of Arsenal Holdings and a key player in the Emirates Stadium project.
