JERUSALEM 0 JAFFA 1

Nir HacCohen condemned defending champions Jerusalem to their first-ever defeat on home soil as they were left stunned by Jaffa.

A tight encounter saw Jerusalem dominate the first 20 minutes with a combination of luck and Jaffa keeper Yochanan keeping the game scoreless.

Jerusalem rarely threatened but Elias Sandler somehow cleared the ball off the line when striker Akiva Zneimer rounded the keeper and should have scored.

Heading into the second half at 0-0, Jaffa started to take control, but the game was still very much in the balance.

With about 10 minutes left, a sweeping Jaffa move brought the ball to HaCohen who slotted the ball under 2nd choice Jerusalem keeper Jason Lurie.

Jerusalem pushed for the equaliser, looking dangerous from free-kicks and corners when Dan Kosky and Raffy Wreschner came into the box. But Jaffa fought until the end and Stephen Caffrey and Nir Tal at the back held firm for a much-needed three points.
