REDBRIDGE - HISTORY

Daniel Lee - GK - Dan has grown in statue to become the leagues top goalkeeper. His agility in the goal-mouth coupled with a safe pair of hands provides the Redbridge defence with the confidence of knowing that they not only have a highly competent keeper but also a fifth defender they can count on.

Matt Davis - GK - Maccabi GB stalwart has been involved at numerous Maccabiot and European Maccabi Games. Recently helped London Lions to victory in the Herts FA Centenary Cup. Hugely experienced stopper who commands his area, comes out confidently to deal with crosses and is a great shot-stopper.

Ben Rosenthal - GK - This season Ben has been plagued with injury which has resulted in him only playing a few games at the start of the season. However, with height, strength and excellent positioning sense in his favour, Ben when called upon has been instrumental in keeping the clubs title hopes alive.

Richie Caplin - Full-back - Having stepped up from the B Team, Ritchie took up the left full back position which was an unfamiliar role for him. He has over the season adapted incredibly. His pace and playing ability have provided the team with a tenacious attacking full-back that provides the team with much added depth

Craig Sandford - Full-back - A stalwart of the Redbridge defence, he gives nothing but 100%. Uncompromising in the tackle, Craig has strength, pace, coupled with a never say die attitude that gives him the edge over any opposing winger.

Russell Leiter – Full-back - A resilient full back who likes to get forward. Able to read the game with good anticipation, he is always one step ahead of the opposition. His high stamina levels, ability to cross the ball up-field and defend effectively make him an ideal Wingback candidate.

Adam Hakimi – Centre back - Acting in a sweeper role Adam has ability to read the game and direct the backline into an effective defensive unit. His commitment, excellent tackling ability and high level of game awareness are all attributes that make him ideal in this position.

Joel Berg – Centre back - Joel is the quintessential centre half. Strong, great in the air with the ability to bring the ball out of defence and begin counter-attacks. His calmness under pressure provides the back line with a high level of composure that is a commensurate quality of any effective defence.

Brad Frankel – Centre back - The rock of the Redbridge defence. A successful centre-back requires ability to read the game, be great in the air, brave and decisive in making last-ditch tackles Brad has all these qualities and much more. Recently returned from fractured cheekbone.

James Rubin – Midfield - Missed much of the season through injury but has made a great return. A pacy, tenacious attacking midfielder who gives nothing but 100% of himself every game.

Danny Hakimi – Midfield - Has been the engine room of the midfield this season. Never shy’s from making the tackle and has been a leader from the centre of the park. An influential member of the squad.

Ben Sollosi – Midfield - A midfield workhorse. One of the most composed players in the squad. Never looks flustered with the ball at his feet. Has a range of passes in his armoury and has popped up with some crucial goals this season.

Stephen Gevertz - Midfield - Been hampered by some injuries early on but once fit has done what Steve Gervertz does best. Strong, powerful and a hindrance to the opposition. Don think there is one midfielder in the league who fancies being on the end of a Steve G tackle.

Alex Lishak – Midfield - Couldn’t ask anymore from a player. When Alex has played has done everything that has been asked of him and more. Goes about his work quietly but is massively effective in what he does.

Sam McCarthy - Midfield - May be small in statue but the tallest man on the pitch when that whistle goes. Great ability to read the game coupled with an unrivalled engine. Whether playing in midfield or in defence can create and score goals. The soul of the team

Daniel Sugarman - Midfield - The veteran of the team whose experience provides stability with the ability to calm the game down for the team when needed. Made huge impact to squad earlier in the season with some outstanding performances earning the team crucial momentum early on.

Sam Van-Gelder - Midfield - A workhorse who never gives up. Has provided quality every time he has played. Great feet and a tenacity that wins SVG a lot of tackles he has no right to win. An eye for a pass and a constant attacking threat.

Mitch Lassman – Midfield - A highly competitive midfield player with the ability to both defend and attack with equal effectiveness. Relentless stamina coupled with excellent feet make for an exciting player who can create goals.

Lewis Walker – Striker - A tenacious striker who is a defenders nightmare. Works tirelessly and unselfishly for his teammates, creating and opening up opportunities. Strength and ability in the air make Lewis dangerous from set pieces.

Steve Summers - Striker - One of the most consistent strikers in the league. An out and out goal predator who can create something from nothing. No-one in the league can hold the ball up-front better then he. A lethal combination of speed, strength and clinical finishing make Steve the composite striker.

Dean Nyman - Striker - Agility, pace, intelligent off-ball play, two good feet coupled with a high work rate make Dean a Striker with a difference. If you put him in a goal scoring position he will score. Able to play also in an attacking midfield role, providing the team with flexibility and variation

Daran Bern - Striker - Being the League's top-scorer says it all. A player of exceptional speed and dibbling skill. No player frightens defenders greater then when Daran is coming at them. His high stamina and level of fitness make for a striker that will keep going for the full 90 minutes and beyond.

Adam Stolerman - Striker - Two great feet and ability to thread killer balls though the opposition's defence make Adam a player of quality. An exceptional playmaker in every sense of the word, with the talent to pick out the net from anywhere in and around the box.

Manager: Sam McCarthy - For his first season in charge the gaffer has taken to it with flying colours. He has assembled a squad where togetherness, belief and quality are unrivalled and led RJC to potentially their most successful season ever. Has kept the teams momentum on the cusp all season with an infectious enthusiasm and commitment to leading RJC to success
(written by Sam McCarthy Jnr)

Coach: Daniel Berg - Respected by all involved with Maccabi, Danny’s credentials in the game speak for themselves. He has done it all. You could not wish to have a better coach of Dan’s qualities and experience to draw from by your side.
