But there was disappointment for North London Raiders who were denied access to Ben Joseph by red tape.

Norstar boss Phil Peters has distanced himself from speculation that he will take charge at Lions A. He said: “To quell the rumours, I'm ruling myself out of the Lions job. It’s a fantastic job to be linked with but I’ve got unfinished business at Norstar. I’d like to see Rob Richman take the job – he’s the best young manager in Jewish football and would definitely be able to turn Lions around.”

Mitch Young has refused to comment on speculation that he could be the next manager of Lions A.

But one man who has ruled himself out is London Lions first-team coach Darren Yarlett.

Odds on Los Blancos manager Joel Minsky have dropped significantly after a group of Asian businessman put a large sum done at a South Oxhey bookmakers.

Hendon United manager David Garbacz is in two minds whether or not to sign a keeper this summer. The Hammers gaffer had reservations about Russell Corin as his No. 1 last pre-season but is rumoured to be close to offering the stopper a two-year extension.

London Maccabi Lions A have identified Brady stars Josh Hershman and Steven Field as potential targets next season, but they could face stiff opposition from Faithfold, Neasden and North London Raiders.

Southgate Harmen will offer Rachel Stevens, wife of striker Alex Bourne, a place in the boardroom in an attempt to get the star man out regularly again next season.

Raymond Harrod, chairman of Montana Boca United, says that he will only continue his role if players promise not to have any children next season.

Harrod is also considering opening a crèche and soft-play at Montana’s home ground next season so he can continue to play.

Neasden will attempt to prize Mike Pearson away from Faithfold this summer.

There was a big move in the lower divisions as Chigwell Athletic striker Doron Weinstein joined Division Four title hopefuls Los Blancos. It was something of an acrimonious departure, with Chigs manager Richard Slater saying: Chigwell manager Richard Slater told JC Sport: “We thank Doron for 10 years committed service to CAFC, but he needed to move on for us and for him.” Glenn Davis, assistant-manager of the Chigs, added: "We would like to thank Doron for 10 years service and wish him well at his new club."

Teams are already making plans for next season. Here are some of the big movers and shakers.

Glenthorne United are on red alert after Jamie Cole put out the feelers for star strikers David Blackman and Fabio Revieccio.
