Louis Taylor, manager of North West Neasden C, has been looking to raid City of London school for boys to inject a bit of youth into his team. Left Back Alex Lewis is currently recruiting some of the best young Jewish footballers around to help the Neasden cause. Simon Cohen and Benji Gourgey are two of the names that have been mentioned.

Taylor went on to speak about his relief after keeping hold of stopper Ed Bloom until the end of the season. He said: “Ed 's one of the best keepers in the league. It’s great to have him with us.”

Glenthorne United Bs Sam Rank has travelled to the US for fitness camp. But manager Elliot Coulton said that it “turned out it to be a fat camp and he is still there!”

Southgate Harmen are planning to hold a family day in June. B team player-manager Mark Engel said: “You never know we might find some young talent.”

Pinner JFC player-manager Vivian Emanuel has suggested that “an ex semi-pro goalkeeper may be on the cards”. He added: “And perhaps a few new shock signing. Of course I can’t disclose who.”

Alex Sherr was linked with Liverpool just before the transfer window closed. They came in with a late bid of £20million offer but Emanuel claims that “he had no signal and didn’t get the voicemail until 12.05am.”

Simon Linden, the Blizzard Storm manager, has failed with a cheeky bid to lure Raiders striker Stevie Bloom out of retirement. Linden said: "We tried to get him for the last seven matches but he is still injured. Linden is now on a mission to bring back Alex Gold to Jewish football. He adds: "That would be a great signing."
