NORTH WEST NEASDEN A vs NORTH WEST NEASDEN B
The negotiations are over and a decision has been made. It’s game on!
Bragging rights will be up for grabs on Sunday as the Bs try to get the result that will ensure that last season’s champions finish bottom of the pile.
Revenge will be the name of the game for the Bs who were thumped 9-1 earlier in the season.
September 26 is a date that Sammy Carr and Ryan Glynne would rather forget after strikes from James Gershfield (4), Lee Cash (2), Rob Lerner, Jon Ellis and Kyle Bentwood helped the As romp home.
Both teams have found the going tough this season with the As having to call upon the likes of Adam Klein and Rob Lerner during the second half of the season.
It’s hard to believe that between them, both Neasden teams have registered just four wins in 24 games. Despite the best efforts of messus Gershfield, Cash, Lerner and young George Fierstone, the club as a whole has struggled to score this season.
Sunday also brings down the curtain on a glittering career at the helm for manager Jamie Cole. The gaffer will no doubt be desperate to finish with a win and I expect both times to give him a guard of honour, DJ Neal style!
It’s virtually impossible to give a prediction in a derby and this one is no different. I might just sit on the fence.

DIVISION THREE
FAITHFOLD C vs CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI
Faithfold need a sackload of goals if they are to pip Norstar B to a third-place finish.
They drew 2-2 against the Stars last Sunday when top-scorer Ben Simons and Simon Beresford registered as they finished all square against Jonny Bunt’s boys for the second time this season.
Greens boss David Garson is expected to name an attacking line-up and instruct his team to go for goals.
Looking ahead to the clash, Garson told JC Sport: “We would like to win and finish off a good season.”
Catford joint-manager Adam Lewis believes his team got a rough deal against Glenthorne last weekend.
The Cats were unable to do the double over the league champions and now they will pull out all the stops to finish the season on a high.
Lewis told JC Sport: “We really didn't deserve to lose last week against Glenthorne. They would have considered themselves lucky to still be drawing at half time and, although they had the better of the second half, it still took a fluke own goal for them to open the scoring.
“This week, we'll have several of our senior players out. Unfortunately my season has been over since badly spraining my ankle against Zig Zag and we'll also be missing Joel Isaacs and Simon Wolfson this week.
“We'll have a young team out, but a strong one nonetheless and we'll look to end the season on a high.
“It's been a difficult season at times, but after last the last few years of massive under-achievement, Catford are finally back on the up.
Whatever happens on Sunday, Faithfold will finish the season in the knowledge that they have won some silverware and there’s every possibility they could be playing Division Two football next term.

UJIA vs HEATH BANTA
Respectable is how I would describe the seasons of UJIA and Heath Banta.
Both promised much but, especially in Heath Banta’s case, under-achieved. The highlight of UJIA’s season was undoubtedly reaching the final of the Barry Goldstein Cup but they will be playing for pride when they entertain Ben Nathan’s men in the final match for both teams.
Darren Rolfe, the UJIA player-manager, has been in reflective mood this week. He told JC Sport: “I wish the season had started in January, as that’s the last time we have lost a game.
“We started poorly and brought in two new strikers in Assi Avital and Ben Nassim who have scored 18 times between them in league and cup.
“It’s been a pleasure to manage UJIA this term. We have a good set of lads who have that winning mentality and lads that I can rely on to turn up on a Sunday morning.
“We had a great day out at Wingate in the final and to lose with the last kick of the game
was a shame. However, we all had a great day out and credit to the league for putting on a fantastic day.
“This Sunday we play Heath Banta who we drew 2-2 earlier in the season. We cannot move up or down the table so we will finish mid table in sixth.
“We will look to keep our unbeaten league run going.”
The end of the season has been a long time coming for Nathan and co. They were one of the favourites to win the Barry Goldstein Cup but failed to make it out of the group.
Nathan has some big decisions to make over the summer and it would not surprise me if some of his boys play out of the skin in a bid to earn a new contract for next season.
That should make for an action-packed encounter and one that I can’t see finishing goalless.

DIVISION FOUR
INTER BOREHAMWOOD vs LOS BLANCOS
Adam Lenz kept Borehamwood’s title bid on track last weekend but they have an equally tough game at the Hive on Sunday.
Lenz’s excellent finish proved decisive against Shirley Park and Oluseun Thomas’ troops will need to put in another solid display against a Los Blancos team for whom this is a season finale.
Sunday is far from a dead-rubber for Joel Minsky’s boys who will finish fourth if they win the game. Anything less and they stay sixth.
Sam Reeves was the hero for Borehamwood in the corresponding fixture back in November. His double earned the boys in blue and black a 3-1 victory. Adam Newman grabbed the other in a game LB led through Danny Sher whose 25-yard thunderbolt almost burst the net.
Joe Levy, Nick Smith and Jonathan Meltzer were praised by Thomas for keeping things tight at the back in that game.
Borehamwood have kept six clean sheets in the league this season. The reward for victory on Sunday would be a potential title-decider against Glenthorne next weekend. But they under-estimate LB at their peril.
Thomas will tell his troops to keep taking it a game at a time. I believe that the momentum us with the Borehamwood boys and they should have enough on the day although it could be squeaky bum time for some of the less experienced members of their squad..
