The final JC MSFL programme of 2011 saw a key battles in the Premier Division and a top-of-the-table derby in Division One, while a number of other matches fell victim to the weather. Danny Caro looks back on all the action.

Neasden missed the chance to finish the weekend top of the table as they finished honours even following a six-goal thriller against defending champions Redbridge at Fairlop.

Two more goals from the red-hot Marc Lazare plus one from Lee Cash accounted for the Neasden goals.

For Redbridge, striker Adam Bolle bagged a brace with Danny Hakimi grabbing the other.

Redbridge unbeaten start to the season ended at match number 10 as they were beaten 2-1 by local rivals Chigwell at Fairlop.

The predatory Glenn Michaels put the Chigs in front after 10 minutes with a tap-in after an from the home keeper following a free-kick.

Captain marvel Daniel Castle clinched the points with a header on 65 minutes to move the Chigs to within three points of RJC, who have a game in hand.

RJC's reply came through an own goal from the otherwise outstanding Lee Hyams.

Southgate Harmen B ended a bad run of results with an impressive win over promotion-chasing Norstar A in Wembley.

They came from behind with a stunning strike from Paul Stein and an 87th minute winner from Doron Hershkorn.

A man-of-the-match display from makeshift keeper Ilan Ben-Zion ensured maximum points.

Adam Grossman, Ben Moss and Saul Bloomberg completed the rout.

A fab five-goal salvo from joint-player-manager CRAIG SANDFORD helped table-toppers Glenthorne B go five points clear at the top of the table as they outclassed Hendon C in West Hendon.

The win saw the Thornes extend their perfect record into double figures, with the rest of the goal shared between Daniel Lassman, James Rubin, Adam Bernstein, James Law and Liam Stein.

Neasden C claimed one of the results of the day, beating second-placed Shirley Park 2-1 at Copthall.

Sacha Benfredj put Shirley in front with a first-half penalty.

Adam Levene hauled NWN back on level terms with a header after a long throw from Benji Gourgey.

Neasden still pressed on for a deserved winner, and it came when Oli Joseph battled with their centre back, won possession and struck a sliding shot from an unlikely angle.

TEAM JLGB 1 BLIZZARD STORM 3
New signing Stefan Simons capped a dream debut to help Blizzard Storm come from behind to ease their relegation fears with a 3-1 win over struggling JLGB at Peter May.

Brett Freeman clinched the points with a third for Blizzard.

JLGB started the game brightly and were well on top in the opening stages. The pressure paid off when David Mitchell opened the scoring with a tidy finish, lifting the ball over the keeper and into the net.
