SUPER STOLERMAN INSPIRES REDBRIDGE AGAIN
CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI 1 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 4
ADAM STOLERMAN was the hat-trick hero as 2011 cup winners Redbridge Jewish Care A eventually wore down second division Catford & Bromley Maccabi at Norseman FC.

Midfield maestro Ben Sollosi finished the job.

RJC manager Eilon Kennet told JC Sport: "It was a comfortable win, despite the conditions, which made it very hard to play our passing game. It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win."

Catford & Bromley captain Adam Luria told JC Sport: "Against one of the strongest teams in the league, we can be genuinely disappointed not to have taken more from the game.

"Redbridge were worthy winners as they took their chances and some of the one-touch football they played was top notch. However, had it not been for their keeper we could well have been in front before they even notched their first."

SUPER SPITZER HELPS FAITHFOLD TAME THE LIONS
LONDON MACCABI LIONS A 2 FAITHFOLD A 5
Rocky Spitzer bagged a brace as table-toppers Faithfold blew the Lions away at Rowley Lane and move six points clear at the summit.

There was also a goal for Lions old boy MIke Pearson, Jonny Haik and Daryl Phillips as the Superhoops recorded a stunning win at Rowley Lane.

Second half strikes from Lee Cash and Alex Bowman proved little more than scant consolation for the Lions.

Jubilant Faithfold boss Zuriel Solomon told JC Sport: "We stormed out of the blocks and our high tempo football shook Lions and we were 4-0 up at half-time. Some of our football was amazing. Second half I knew the next goal would be crucial and to be fair to Lions they dominated parts of the second half as they had nothing to lose.

"Lions have the makings of a good team and have made some good signings and will be hard to beat, but we had too much for them today."

Lions interim manager Andy Landesberg told JC Sport: "It was a bad day at the office for Lions today. Faithfold were the deserved winners today, taking the game away from us in the first 30 minutes. Hopefully we will have learnt from our first half performance."

BRADY WIN PLEASES NATHAN
BRADY MACCABI A 3 NORSTAR A 1
Brady completed back-to-back wins as they inflicted more misery on Norstar at Rowley Lane.

Strikes from Rob Lerner, Josh Hershman and Jon Green saw them home

Norstar got one back through top-scorer Josh Green with 20 minutes to go, but never looked liked threatening Brady's lead.

Brady boss Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "It was a good result, even though we did not play to our best but we will take the win no matter what.

TERRIFIC TEAM BYPASS BRIXTON
BRIXTON OLD BOYS A 1 FC TEAM A 2
FC Team A became only the second league team to win at Clowes this season courtesy of strikes from Richard Salmon and Marc Harris.

Rob Blackman was the marksman for Brixton.

FC Team secretary Jonathan Pearl, who took charge in the absence of manager Mitch Young, told JC Sport: "It was a game that we totally dominated and bar some wayward finishing, we should have put the game to bed far earlier.

FC Team manager Mitch Young, who was not at the game, told JC Sport: "I am very happy with the win although disappointed we did not score more goals."

Brixton assistant-player-manager Rob Blackman told JC Sport: "We knew what to expect against FC Team. With the quality of players at our disposal we should have been able to deal with them, but to be fair they stuck to their game plan and it worked."

Nick Astaire and James Gold were the goal men for Jamie Kyte's men at the Ark Academy.

FORTUNE GIVE THORNES A SCARE
GLENTHORNE UNITED A 3 TEMPLE FORTUNE A 3
Temple Fortune A put in a contender for performance of the day as they gave leaders Glenthorne an almighty scare at Ford Sports & Social.

A double from Daniel Orgel plus a stunning free-kick from Michael Goldberg earned Fortune an impressive point.

Two own goals and a strike from Daniel Lassman accounted for the Glenthorne goals.

Fortune stand-in manager Benji Mannheim commented: "It was a decent result, probably a fair one in the end. However, we came out of the blocks quickly and could have been three or four up in the first half. It's a shame as their goals bar one were own goals and avoidable."

Thornes boss Sam Rosenthal told JC Sport: "With a limited squad and only 11 players, a point was probably a fair result. Sometimes its OK to avoid defeat and focus on next week."

ETHAN'S IN THE ZONE FOR RAIDERS B
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS B 4 LOS BLANCOS 0
A fantastic four-goal salvo from starlet ETHAN ZONE inspired Raiders B to an excellent victory over a Blancos team who saw their promotion hopes take an almighty blow.

Raiders chairman Jonathan Adelman, who was standing in for manager Oli Shorts and assistant-boss Richard Abrahams, told JC Sport: "This result has been coming and its no more than the boys deserve. We've had a tough start to the season, but the spirit never wavered and over the past four or five games the performances have been steadily improving.

"It's back-to-back wins and clean sheets now and this performance was top notch from front to back - some of the interplay in the final third was worthy of a higher division."

Disappointed Blancos player-manager Adam Hersh told JC Sport: "This was another poor performance by LB and again on a 3G pitch ... we're beginning to see a pattern.

"LB will be looking forward to returning to real Sunday football on grass (surely 3G should be a last resort)."

BRILLIANT BURNS ON THE MONEY FOR SPEC
SPEC FC 1 GLENTHORNE UNITED B 0
Ashley Burns scored the only goal as SPEC FC boosted their promotion hopes to move into third following a hard-earned win over fellow high-flyers Glenthorne B at Hatfield Uni.

Glenthorne joint-player-manager Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "It was a game with very little quality, settled by an individual mistake. No keeper really had a save to make all game as both defences played really well.

"We were denied a stonewall penalty early on and never really got going. Adam Goldman was very unlucky not to be on the scoresheet after his strike was ruled out after a very very dubious offside call.

"The game had 0-0 written all over it with no team really deserving the win in my opinion. SPEC are a good team though, but we know that we can and should be playing a lot better than we did today. Hopefully when we get back a few of our key players we will get back to playing at our best."

TOTTENHAM CHUTSPAH 1 AC MILL HILL 7
AC Mill Hill moved a point clear at the top after finishing in seventh heaven after hammering Tottenham Chutspah with star man BEN ZLOOF taking home the matchball after crashing home yet another hat-trick.

Mill Hill's fantastic fox-in-the-box found the target four times in a stunning performance, with further efforts from Mark Truman, Rob Kleinmann and Nick Kershberg sealing a seventh success this season.

Delighted Mill Hill manager Joe Levy told JC Sport: "We played some good football and were rewarded for it. I feel we are capable of even better and just need to cut out some sloppy play. We will be looking to keep this fantastic streak up next week."
