LONDON MACCABI LIONS B 4 EDMONTON BLADES 3
A goal from super-sub Dec Spiro earned first division Lions B victory in a seven-goal thriller over Edmonton Blades.

Man-of-the-match Joey Lazare put the Lions ahead with a 25-yard stunner.

Lions’ second goal came when Adam Kosky's ball into the box was eventually met by Dan Green who opened up his Lions B account for the season.

A fantastic ball from Jonny Cutter caused havoc in the Edmonton box which resulted in an own goal.
It was left to Spiro to come on and crack home the winner with a well-placed shot into the bottom corner.

Lions boss Jamie Kyte told JC Sport: "It was a really good game against a quality side."

The Lions will face Dees FC or Edmonton Rovers in the next round.

CASH CONVERTS ON DEBUT AS 10-MAN LIONS ARE GIVEN A SCARE
LONDON MACCABI LIONS A 3 NORSTAR A 2
Lee Cash scored his first goal in a London Maccabi Lions A shirt with the former Neasden marksmen on target in his debut as Lions returned to winning ways at the Lane.

Two goals from Nick Landesberg, son of interim manager Andy Landesberg, finished the job in a game Lions finished with 10 men after Cameron Most was sent off.

Norstar gave a good account of themselves and strikes from Jason Lindsay and Zak McLeod ensured Lions were pushed all the way.

Match referee Richard Jaye told JC Sport: "I was extremely impressed by the attitude and conduct of Norstar today. They played their part in an extremely entertaining match and even though they lost in the last few minutes, their heads never dropped. On today's performance they are a credit to the Premier."

BRADY BOUNCE BACK IN STYLE
BRADY MACCABI A 5 BRIXTON OLD BOYS 2

Jonny Ellis and Ben Joseph sealed the win for Brady.

Delighted Brady boss Joel Nathan told JC Sport: "It is great to get a win under our belt after some disappointing results and now with some boys getting back to fitness I am sure we can go on a good run and show everyone in the league what we are about."

DYNAMIC DAVIDI AT THE DOUBLE FOR FORTUNE
TEMPLE FORTUNE 2 FAITHFOLD B 2
A strong Faithfold B team were unable to see off Temple Fortune A in a four-goal thriller on the 3G at the Hive.

Shai Davidi bagged a brace for Fortune, including a long-distance wonder goal, with the in-form Sam Lewis and A-team star Paul Babai on target for Faithfold.

Fortune boss Lee Fegan told JC Sport: "I thought we were very slow to react in the first half and allowed Faithfold too much space to get in and amongst us. In the second held, we came out much stronger and when we got ourselves in front after working very hard to do so, we looked comfortable and dominant."

Faithfold assistant-manager Ben Lewis told JC Sport: "We've should have been out of sight in the first half by all accounts but Fortune came back strongly to take the lead before the team fought hard to get something from the game. Lots of positives to take forward into the busy Chanukah period."
