Hendon United Sports Club A boosted their title with a brilliant performance helping them blow North London Raiders A away. But there was better news for Raiders B who thumped Harmen A 4-0. In the cup, Faithfold A eased through in the all Premier Division clash against Lions. Elsewhere, there were impressive victories for Oakwood and Norstar A in Division One while Faithfold B ended Hendon B's 100 per cent record. Danny Caro looks back on all the action.

Lions B were given an almighty scare by Blizzard Storm in a topsy-turvy affair at Rowley Lane.

The Lions marched into a 4-0 lead with goals from James Gold (2) Joey Lazare and Henry Ziff but Blizzard showed a terrific never-say-die attitude with strikes from Michael Hagai (2), Adam Speck and player-manager Simon Linden setting up a grandstand finish. Sam Senchal was also on target for Lions.

Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "4-0 down with 35 minutes remaining, we put on a fantastic fightback. We can be proud of our performance. We were like a different team from last week. We didn't give up, chased everything and showed what we can do."

Woodford returned to action after paying their debts to overturn a suspension and they gave a good account of themselves against league champions but it was not quite enough as a strike from Steve Summers put Redbridge through.

A late strike from Jamie Shaw, his second of the game, denied an impressive FC Team maximum points in an eight-goal thriller against FC Team at Meadow Park.

Mitch Young's team deserved the points according to NWN joint-manager Darren Yarlett in a game where Craig Edwards, Danny Moss and Shai Davidi were among the scorers for the home side whose striker Richard Salmon gave the NWN back-line a torrid morning.

Neasden's other goals came through Matt Sofier and Ben Goldberg.

Rob Richman's Raiders B blew Harmen away with some excellent football at Brunel to climb to the lofty heights of second place in the table.

Strikes from Dan Grossman, Dan Polak, Elliot Espinoza and Mike Hershman saw them home.

A Danny Kon double inspired the Hammers to their sixth league win of the season as they blew the Raiders away at Hadley FC.

David Garbacz's men raced out of the blocks and stormed into a 4-0 lead at half time.

Kon opened the scoring with a brilliant turn and shot into the roof of the net inside the first 10 minutes.

The Raiders were at sixes and sevens with Avidan Last and Alex Gilbert also finding the net.

And had it not been for several brilliant saves from Raiders keeper Dan Cohen, it could have been nearer to double figures.

Raiders improved in the second half as Hendon eased off but there were unable to muster a consolation.
