JC MSFL Goal of the Week: Nov 20

articlemain

WINNER: - Alex Levack (Faithfold A) - described by his manager as "Beckham-esque", Levack's stunning strike is a leading contender for JC Goal of the Season, let alone goal of the week. Raiders thought that they had put themselves back in the game after Jamie Wolfson scored to make it 3-0. But the experienced Levack spotted Raiders keeper Dan Cohen a few feet off his line, probably dreaming of the stunning blonde in the petrol station he bumped into before the game. In the blink of an eye-lid, straight from the restart, Levack sent the ball arrowing into the roof of the net, past a stranded Cohen. Not many would've tried it, let alone pull it off. It was inch-perfect and straight out of the top-drawer

NOMINATIONS:

- Sam Lewis (Faithfold A) - a great swivel and shot finding the top corner from 25 yards

- Joel Kanutin (Neasden C) - a sublime chipped through ball from Louis Taylor set up Kanutin to chip calmly over the keeper

- Assi Avital (UJIA) - a fine finish from the edge of the box

- Adam Rosenfeld (FC Team B) - curled into far top corner with pinpoint accuracy from 25 yards

- Ollie Kay (Brady B) - some trickery from Reiss Mogilner earned him half a yard of space, and he laid the ball back for centre back Kay, who drove a side-footed thunderbolt from just outside the penalty area into the top corner

- Mitch Hahn (Woodford) - brought the ball down on his chest, after one bounce shoots from 30 yards lobbing the keeper. Fantastic goal

- Harrison Midda (Woodford) - classy team move, after stroking the ball around at the back, Hahn picks up and makes a run, links up a quick one-two with Aviram in the middle of the park then slots through Midda on the edge of the box, controls with right and slots with left, true flamboyant finish

- Jon Fisher (Temple Fortune A) - collected the ball some 25 yards out to hit a sumptuous shot into the bottom right corner

- Adam Bier (Athletic Bilbaum) - GOAL 2 - a wonder strike driven home with pinpoint accuracy into the bottom corner past Brixton's scrambling keeper from 35 yards. Glorious!

- Richard 'Scotty' Alexander (L'Equipe) - after some neat passing in midfield, left winger Ian Baron found space down the line, beat his man then delivered a delightful cross for the waiting right winger Alexander who acrobatically volled the ball from just inside the area giving the keeper no chance. A great volley and a great team move

- Doron Weinstein (Redbridge JC C) - the pick of his four goals in the 6-4 defeat against Camden. Stunning first-time-hit volley from a cross-field free-kick
