JC Monthly Awards - October

Adam Joselyn has won the JC Award for MSFL Player of the Month for October

They say that strikers get all the glory. Not this time. While it would have been easy to pick North London Raiders hotshot Jacob Gold for our Player of the Month, the award goes to midfield maestro Adam Joselyn.

Gold currently tops the Premier Division scoring charts and while it would have been easy to pick him, the efforts of Raiders club captain Joselyn cannot be overlooked.

He has propelled the team up the table with top-level displays against Faithfold, Redbridge Jewish Care, Lions and Hendon and claimed a goal of the week contender with a sensational curling effort against RJC. His performances clearly caught the eye of Rep Team manager Danny Berg who recently invited him for a trial along with a host of other Raiders stars.

Joselyn has been a real tower of strength in recent weeks. The same can be said of a number of the Raiders team including Alex Olcot, David Rhodes, Jamie Wolfson, Adam Posner, Mark Leader and Danny Berliner who have lifted the team to the heady heights of the Premier Division.

It's a one-two for L'Orange with the top managerial award also going to Uxbridge based club who have had a great month, playing some eye-catching football and maintaining good discipline - to reach the lofty heights of third in their first season back in the Premier Division.

Raiders A and B, FC Team A, Camden Park, Temple Fortune A, Norstar A, Glenthorne A and B, Redbridge C and Blizzard Storm were other teams commended by the JC's panel of judges.

Temple Fortune A wing wizard David Gance was a popular choice of JC Young Player of the Month.

The Division One awards are split between Raiders B and Southgate Harmen B. Raiders striker David Dinkin edged out defender Lewis Blitz after climbing to seven goals in the scoring charts. The managerial award was somewhat tougher with Harmen player-manager Mark Engel edging out Mitch Young and Rob Richman – the judging panel felt that their run of games was tougher with the Southgate boys claiming four wins and a draw.

FC Team A keeper David Grossman edged out the Glenthorne B stopper for the October Golden Gloves award.
