JC Goal of the week - September 16

There were some sensational strikes on Matchday 3 of the JC MSFL season.

WINNER:Sami Birnbaum (Los Blancos) - GOAL 1 - a pure show of his pace, as he picked up the ball just inside his own half, had the composure to round a defender or two before knocking it past another two defenders, beating them for pace over 50 yards before finishing emphatically

    Nominations

Danny Daggers (NW Neasden A) – cool volley into the top corner, although some will say he shinned it!

Igal Yahya (NL Raiders A) – stunning overhead kick, catching Max Shields off his line following a mix-up with Kyle Bentwood

Craig Pearl (Chigwell) - great team move. Keeper Rob Shepherdson rolled the ball out to Russell Yershon, who played the ball up the line to Adam Goodman who squared for Pearl to strike a moving ball first time on edge of the area left-footed into the top right-hand corner

James Franks (NL Raiders C) - a 30-yard stunner in to the top corner which left the keeper absolutely no chance

David Marcus (Southgate Harmen B) - 35-yard left-foot screamer which flew across the keeper into the corner of the net

Yonni Bord (Catford & Bromley Maccabi) - a wonder goal, beating three players on the left win, cutting into the penalty area, beating another player and then smashing the ball into the roof of the net from a tight angle with the outside of his left foot

RA Noe (Hendon B) - GOAL 1 - Let the ball run between his legs, which left the defender flat-footed as the ball went past him, then skilfully chipped the approaching goalkeeper from 20 yards. "Thierry Henry esque"

David Cohen (FC Team C) - showed brilliant pace to beat around four men and coolly slotted the ball into the back of the net

Jamie Kent (Brixton B) - an individual effort - outpacing two defenders, turning inside another and scoring from 20 yards out from an extremely tight angle, curling it into the top left hand corner

Daniel Selt (Brixton B) - great team move - a combination of 8–10 passes involving only one and two-touch football ended up with a brilliant chip with the outside of the boot when it seemed impossible to score
