It's all Gold for Shirley

JC MSFL DIVISION FOUR
SHIRLEY PARK 3 NORTH WEST NEASDEN C 0

Shirley Park returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory over Neasden C at Gladstone Park.

A good team performance was capped with a clean sheet for the defence that allowed the front men to create plenty of chances.

Shirley Park got off the mark with a golden bullet header from Mr Lee Oscar Bushell who has made hundreds of pounds in the gold industry.

The lead was doubled in the second half with another well-taken penalty from Stefan Befredj, who again used his eyes to send the keeper the wrong way.

The game was put to bed when the killer combination of the Gold brothers combined. A delightful cross from Sam (Junior) Gold was perfectly placed onto the head of Gideon (senior) Gold who weighted the 24 carat header beautifully into the bottom left-hand corner of the goal.

Shirley player-manager Dave Lusman told JC Sport: "Fair play to Neasden. They threatened to get back into the game on several occasions but it just wasn't their day.

"When through on goal and up against the MSFL's version of Reina/Higuita of goalkeepers in Dan "the bomber" Oade). It's almost impossible to pick your spot as his hair not only works as a serious distraction swinging in the air, but takes up the best part of the goal leaving little to aim at. At the home of the Park, we call the locks of oade the 12th man."

NWN player-manager Louis Taylor told JC Sport: "I'm very disappointed with our performance today - we simply weren't good enough."
