Andrea Davidovich and Evgeni Krasnopolski advanced to the final of the free skating pairs competition when they finished 15th out of 20 in the qualifying competition in Sochi.

Speaking after the qualifiers - where the top 16 couples progressed - Krasnopolski said: "It's a fantastic feeling. We were very tense all day and really nervous up to the last moment.

"In technical terms we could have been better here and there but the bottom line is that we're in the final and that was our main aim. We'll do the best we can."
