Aldenham Juniors won the Watford Friendly League Under Nine League Cup final after beating Alexandra Park North on penalties.

Aldenham led in normal time but Alexandra Park fought back twice to level at 4-4 at after extra time.

After five penalties, the teams were locked at 2-2 in the shoot-out but Aldenham came through after converting in sudden death.

Aldenham Juniors Darrel Yawitch said: “I’m very proud of the way that the boys have played, both today and throughout the whole season.

“They are a credit to their parents and the club. Alexandra Park North played a great game and it is unfortunate that it had to be decided on penalties.
