articlemain

HISHU under-12's will look to clinch the double in the Excel League when they take on North West London Jets in the cup final on Sunday.

The team, co-managed by Paul Becker and Bobby Davila, recently secured its fourth league title in five years.

The championship was confirmed with a victory against Hampstead Harriers.

HISHU took the lead after 18 minutes courtesy of a Moshe Solomon strike. They doubled the advantage two minutes later following an excellent volley from Solomon.

Etai Mor pulled one back for the Harriers just before the interval but Solomon was on hand to complete his hat-trick after a fine save from Jack Rifkin.

James Becker scored a magnificent solo effort and Josh Weiler completed HISHU’s scoring.

Robbie Klein pulled one back for Harriers late on the but the final score was 5-2 in HISHU’s favour.

The result secures HISHU the League title by the narrowest of margins.

A consistent league season for Hendon saw the side match their previous first place league finish and earn a second league title in the Excel League. The team built on their previous season's work as they progressed superbly.

Joint-manager Paul Becker said: "The boys put in hard work week after week sometimes in the most extreme of weather conditions.

Bobby Davila added: "The consistency of the squad has really been down to the unselfish manner in which our boys play their football and the fact that they have progressed and matured as a united force over the last five years."
